R & R October 21-23, 2016
Couples and Families arrived in Fredericksburg to enjoy the weekend in the beautiful Hill Country. Everyone gathered at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church for dinner, orientation and of course Bingo Friday evening. Saturday was a perfect day to be outside. As each couple and family gathered for Saturday evening meal, it was obvious they had enjoyed their day. Everyone was sharing their experiences. They included exploring main street, visiting Street Dreams, the Museum of the Pacific War and Wild Seed Farm, going to the movie, driving back roads and to EnPchanted Rock, etc.
Then we were all treated to a delicious German meal cooked and served by the Knights of Columbus. Sausage, kraut, potato salad (the best ever) and cookies!!! It just doesn’t get much better.
Once again, it was so refreshing to see such well behaved children. It was equally good to see some familiar faces in addition to new ones.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to those who helped make this a successful weekend:
Knights of Columbus, Karl & Mary Ransleben (B&B), Mike & Debbi McCurdy (B&B), Ed & Betsy Fredericks (B&B), Sunday House, Fredericksburg Inn & Suites, Museum of the Pacific War, Fritztown Cinema.
