Currently the ministry, with the help of the transition battalion chaplain, organizes and hosts five types of outings-R&R weekends, Retreats, Day Events and Rejuvenation Getaway. These events are held from September through May. Learn more about the Types of Events.

Kayaking

FreeThis day event is specifically for the wounded, injured & ill at Fort Sam Houston and Fort Cavazos. Participants will enjoy a day kayaking, on the San Marcos River. When they arrive in San Marcos they will be treated to breakfast at Bens Kerby Lane Cafe. Then they will be outfitted with life vests, canoes and some basic instructions for their adventure on the river. They disembark at the Olympic Outdoor Center where box lunches will be waiting for them. Space is limited to 15.
Meals will be provided by Wounded Warriors at Nebo. Kayaks and equipment provided by Olympic Outdoor Center. Transportation provided by military.
