Happenings
On May 3rd some of the WWAN Team held a card making class in the Craft Room at WFSC. We made two cards that were a little more masculine than usual so would be appropriate for Father’s Day or a Guy’s birthday or just Thinking of You.
May 17th will be the last class until September. We are taking the summer off to rest up and play with grand children.

May 6, 2016
5 soldiers enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing day in Fredericksburg on Friday, May 6. They arrived at 9:30 and had muffins, scones and coffee at either The Spa at The Inn on Barons Creek or Nature’s Spa at Fredericksburg Herb Farm. After their light breakfast they were pampered with an hour long massage, manicure or pedicure. Feeling refreshed, several set out shopping on Main while others took a look at some of the beautiful and historic churches in Fredericksburg. At 12:30, we all met for lunch at The Rathskeller where each soldier ordered a daily special followed by the world famous peach bread pudding!!!! It felt good after the big meal to stroll several blocks to the waiting van. It was a fun day for all!!!

Day Event
Check out the new photo album “Spring at Enchanted Rock”. It contains photos of three different groups who visited “The Rock”. Two groups came in April (14th & 15th) and the third came last December. Click Here to go to the photo gallery.
News Letters
This Newsletter covers the events during the first quarter of 2016. It also contains a schedule of events through April, 2017, although there will be additional Day Events added during the year. However, there will be no events during June, July or August. That’s our time to rejuvenate and be Grandmothers.

This R&R is open to Singles, Couples and Families.
Guests arrive Friday, May 5th and can check into their lodging after 3 pm. Between 5:30 and 7 pm will be a light dinner and orientation. Since this is an R&R there are no scheduled meetings, events, etc. It’s a time to relax and “do your own thing”. Optional meals will be provided on Saturday.
Anyone interested contact the WTB Chaplain’s office.
This R&R is open to Singles, Couples and Families.
Guests arrive Friday, October 21st and can check into their lodging after 3 pm. Between 5:30 and 7 pm will be a light dinner and orientation. Since this is an R&R there are no scheduled meetings, events, etc. It’s a time to relax and “do your own thing”. There’s always something special going on in Fredericksburg. Optional meals will be provided on Saturday. Entertainment provided by WWAN: Bingo, National Museum of the Pacific War, Fritztown Cinema and Sweet Dreams-Classic Car Museum.
Other Events that weekend: Food & Wine Fest, Bike Rally in Luckenbach, Indian Artifact Show, Fun with Fiber at LBJ State Park.

Day Event
Chaplain Ginsburg left Fort Sam Houston early Friday morning with six hardy souls (seven if you count the “little guy”) heading for Enchanted Rock State Natural Area for hiking or rock climbing or simply to enjoy the beautiful area. Upon arrival at the Rock, the Chaplain shared a devotional followed by some discussion then everyone headed out on their adventure. Whatever their quest, they were getting a break from their every day activities and enjoying the beauty of GOD’s creation.
At a predetermined time everyone returned to the van and headed into town for lunch at Hondo’s on Main where they exchanged stories about their morning’s adventures and other GOD moments. After lunch several toured the National Museum of the Pacific.
