Anyone living in the Hill Country knows the deer population has to be thinned from time to time to avoid over population and subsequent starving deer.  Last November a couple of soldiers were asked to help out a local rancher.  Marcus Manchaca, his son and Jeremy Velez were happy to accept the invitation.  Marcus got a doe.  In addition to enjoying the hunt he was able to keep the meat. They are hoping to return for another hunt soon.

How is it a Win Win?  The Rancher is happy because the deer population is reduced and the soldier(s) have fun hunting and get the meat.
